McLeod Farms and Mrs. Wilson's 1st grade class!

Today was Ellie Kate's class field trip to McLeod farms in McBee, SC and I got to chaperone!
My mom came all the way up from Yemassee just to keep Jude while I got to hang out with the coolest kids at Lucy T. Davis elementary school and head to the farm to visit the pumpkin patch!
Here are some snap shots from our day:
This was my little group of three for the day!
Our first stop at the farm was here in the cafeteria for a story and some icecream.

Then we took a hay ride to pick some pumpkins!

I loved my group! We had the best time!

After the hay ride we headed back for some lunch then jumped and played around in the hay for a bit!

Check out Quamitri jumping in the background!

These four girls are so precious and full of life! They are quite the little crew!
Somehow we were successful in getting a group pic before we left:
I present to you, Mrs. Wilson's first grade class at Lucy T. Davis elementary school.

Girls just wanna have fun!

If you follow me on Instagram you know I've blown up the news feed the past five days from an amazing weekend with my best!
Who doesn't love a weekend away to relax, laugh, chat, and cut loose with your favorite friend in the whole world! Erika and I spent the weekend living it up at the Chateau Elan winery and vineyard this past weekend!
Before I share the photos of our weekend I just have to say that our friendship is one of those friendships that is unlke any other-we are 'kindred spirits' if you will. Its a friendship where its almost creepy how much we are alike. We think the same things at the same time, say and do things at the same time, and laugh at the fact that at times...we are just plain crazy!
Here are some pics from our trip!
How gorgeous is this place?!

   (And how cute is Erika?!)

We are both artist so we indulged in some art while we were there!

We enjoyed an entire day at the spa getting massages, swimming, and relaxing!

Then finished the day off with an afternoon tea.

We then headed to check out the winery tour.

Someone got married and left a trail of rose petals behind so we of course stopped a minute to 'smell the roses'!

And before we knew it, it was time to head home!
I love this quote that Erika found while we were there. It's so true! And I can't think of a better friend to collect moments with!

I hope everyone has a great week! Xoxo

Ellie Kate!

From the moment this little girl was placed in my arms she has given me a run for my money!

She's smart, spunky, feisty, caring, compassionate and loving all wrapped up into one!

This year we decided to put Ellie Kate in school. My emotions were mixed about it but there were several things that, when taking into consideration the bigger picture, made sense to enroll her in school. I don't regret it.
She's doing fantastic!
The first week in school she scored above average on her MAP test (a test to show where she is academically). I was so excited and proud.
Just a couple of weeks ago she was selected as September's terrific kid for her class! I was super proud and so was she!

I love watching my girl grow and mature! She's beautiful inside out!

If I had to pick a quote that reminded me of her it would be this one.

(Design for this quote is by Aubrey at http://thekinchlifeblog.com/ )
That's all for Monday! I hope everyone has a great week!!
* Stayed tuned for my next post- An up and coming vacay with my friend Erika!

The Jude-man!

I can't wait to share what's coming up on the blog over the next few weeks!
So much has changed since I created this site. I'm looking forward to giving it a little makeover and a fresh new look!

Before I get in to all of that, I just have to share some of my favorite moments with my super inquisitive, adorable athletic, and wild Jude-man!

Yesterday we had lunch at firehouse subs. Which just so happens to be our favorite place to eat right now!
Is he not the cutest pretend fireman you've ever seen?!

He loves playing with rocks!! Like a typical boy, he loves throwing them at things too!

Since baseball is the sport this mom knows best, we spend most sunny days outside with a baseball and a bat.

His favorite shirt right now is this RUN DMC t-shirt! It's a hand me down from my friend Erika, whom Jude refers to as Miss Merica. Haha!

Last, check out his big boy bed with none other than a Spider-Man get up! This kid is in big boy heaven right now!

Well, that's all for my Jude-man today! Next up is Ellie Kate!
